They say their marketplace is highly curated and invite-only, so it’s really important that sellers have exceptional product photography to be successful on the site.

 

HOLLY & CO IMAGE REQUIREMENTS  

All files uploaded to Holly & Co must have an aspect ratio of 3:4 with a minimum width of 1132 pixels and height of 1509 pixels. The size of files must be no larger than 2MB.

You can add 5-10 portrait images per product listing, which means you have the opportunity to answer any questions customers might have about your products.

Holly & Co’s own guidelines talk about some of the aspects of product photography that they particularly like, including:

  • Images that show off key things like the size, shape, and colour of a product, as well as any important or unique details

  • Photos that capture authenticity, giving customers a real sense of what they’re buying and how it’s made

  • Emotive lifestyle images that will enable buyers to see how having your product in their home might make them feel

 

HOLLY & CO IMAGE OPTIMISATION

Image optimisation means reducing the file size of images as much as possible without sacrificing quality. It also means make sure customers can easily find your products by thinking about what words they might search to find them.

To help Holly & Co, Google, and other search engines direct customers to your products, you need to pay close attention to your image file name. Make sure the file name accurately describes your product.
