I've been working with Lauren (of Ellie Air Jewellery) for a couple of years now, and over that time we've become friends - a couple of weeks back I spent the weekend at her apartment in London where we shot her new collection and I got to have a nosey around her studio space.
Lauren founded Ellie Air Jewellery in 2013 on her return to England after training in Contemporary Jewellery at Alchimia, the international jewellery school in Florence. Before then, Lauren worked as an apprentice in a Hatton Garden jewellers' shop, and it was there that she first fell in love with gemology and the technical creation of the pieces she worked with each day.
Ellie Air Jewellery is both delicate and minimal, and reflects on Lauren's time spent in Italy. Each collection is named with an Italian word that celebrates the pieces contained within it, bringing together elements across each series' creation, from inspiration to the finished, beautiful objects.
Lauren has just launched her new branding and website which you can see here! Also keep your eyes peeled for her new collection 'Firma' which will launch soon (spoiler: it's beautiful).
